What does DeskProto offer?
DeskProto is a NC-Programming system for the automatic creation of a 3D CNC-Code for 3-axis CNC-Machines. For an extremely favourable price the system offers the simple, fast and safe creation of 3D CNC-Codes. Main applications are the Rapid Prototyping with conventional milling machines and the 3D-Milling.

In this way it functions:
An initial point for DeskProto is a 3D-File, mostly in STL Format. This data type is created nearly from all modern 3D-CAD-Systems and offers a data exchange free of problems. Additionally DeskProto also imports the data formats DXF (only nets/meshes) and VRML. After the import DeskProto presents the 3D-Model as a net fence.

Naturally the model can be turned and scaled. First the processing line and the milling paramteres are determined (tool, feed, strategy, accuracy etc.). These values are now changed if the standard values do not suit. Afterwards the program calculates automatically and in shortest time the tool paths and the complete CNC-code. Thanks to integrated post processors immediately a CNC program in an original machine format is available.

Advantages against a conventional CAM-Software
DeskProto is very simple to operate and produces the tool paths fast and completely automatically. Furthermore DeskProto offers a price/performance ratio, which a short time ago has not seemed to be possible.

DeskProto has been concipated to produce fast and uncomplicated CNC programs out of 3D-geometry. Special attention has been paid to the fact that also Not-CNC-Specialists fast achieve results with the program. Rapid-Prototyping on CNC-Machines fastens the developping and designing process, since fast a "concrete" result is present. DeskProto only needs one 3D-model for the production of CNC-Programs. Programs are produced for 3-Axis machines, selectable also with a turning axis. Standard-projects can be stored and so they can fast be used for new projects.
